RE: Civil War 150th

<t> Another great write-up thanks Capt Harlock, but the more I read about McClellen the more he baffles me. I mean he's by his own admission hard pressed to save his army but he's got the time to write about the political conduct of the War. I can only conclude that he wrote such a letter in a ...

Warspite, if you could have just work in a romantic angle between McCauley and Josephine you'd have yourself a movie (that should not be named) deal[:-]

RE: Soviet Unit Creation List

Jakerson could you let us know how you managed to do it as I can't get make Mountain Corps in my current game (June 42) when trying with a stack of 3 Mountain Div's. Thou come to think of it one was Guards Mountain Div but I wouldn't expect that to be the problem.

RE: unit change suggestions

<t> I don't think it's the cost that makes towed units unusable it's the game mechanics esp for the AA & AT units. Your always better off with a SP version as it can respond to full effect when it's not your turn. <br/>
<br/>
So I'd favour a change that would either consume their attack for that ...

I'd really really like to see one of the more experienced players posting something dealing with "how to use static mode to your advantage". I'm familiar with static mode and know how to create it for units etc. I'm just more interested in how ...

I'm having a great time with the game as is. The only thing I could think to add would be an autosave for the start of each scenario when playing the Campaign game.&nbsp;

Thanks for taking the time to explain that Tullius. Just on the rifle brigades if you want to reduce their numbers you can always used them as the 3rd unit when forming rifle corps.

RE: Stalin's in the gulag - Tullius (Soviet) vs 2ndACR (Axis)

<t> Thanks for the AAR Tullius. I’m still just learning the game against the AI so reading your AAR has taught me a lot and also I’ve enjoyed it immensely. I really like the detail that you put into your army/front force composition but I’m puzzled by your latest move regarding your strategic ...

RE: Eureka, have the issue now! Problem can be solved..

<t> Honestly I prefer Tank Bde’s to corps for the reason that you state. Forming them into corps is costly in terms of AP and possibly more importantly vehicles and what you gain isn’t a really useful combat unit until it’s been trained up for a few months. Plus then you really need to use them en ...

Keep in mind a PzD in 41, once air support hits, was a combined attack force. The Germans molded it thru 39 and 40. The only problem is armor losses get high (their tanks suck), so I hit a section with infantry units hard and squrm my ...

<t> Kudos to both you and Miller for a well played War. Like a few others I’d struggle to pick a clear winner since you both had your moments so an honourable draw is a fine result. I'd also like to add that I really enjoy your AAR style so thanks again for all the time and effort you put into them ...

I know it doesn't help but if want to look at that result in a positive way then at least you don't have to worry about burning supplies to repair your disabled squads (since they were all destroyed). :)

Like a few others I feel a little sad that this story has finally come to an end. I'll be a keen reader when your next ship based AAR comes up in AE. Finally I for one am glad that we got the Hibiki story here and not in your current AE game. :)

I just hope that we'll get the option to see unit ID's on counters on the map, it just helps me with getting into the game if I can see at a glance where all my favorite divisions are. :)
