Re: Strategic Command: American Civil War Out Now

I started on full HD mode and that didn't really help. In contrast to other games in the SC series, the map is simply too large to be a playable game for me. It reminded me of something similar to Grigsby's War in the East game in terms of the scale of the game. That's not what I'm looking for in ...

Re: Strategic Command: American Civil War Out Now

First of all congratulations for the release of the new game. Was really looking foward to it.

Noticed on youtube that Mr West alreaxcy stated a MP game.

Buying went without a hitch directly from slitherines webpage.

Small annoyance hitting the update button results in an error message ...

Looks like Slitherine Servers are down. Its all games from them that you get a coonection error. As well the main side and slitherines forums as well.

Hope its nothing serious

RE: Adjusting Artillery

<t> Its not about the to just slow the artilery research. Otherwise everybody puts one 1 chit into it and we are done. I would like to be able to explore different technologies. Artilery has its place but then planes and tanks and naval etc . should have its place. I dont have a good solution how ...

RE: Adjusting Artillery

Perhaps limit the numer of shells for heavy artillerys to just 3 and leave a higher number for lvl1 artillery. Just my thoughts

RE: Adjusting Artillery

<t> Not so much difference at the moment. I still feel that there are is only one valid tech route...Artillery ...Artillery ...Artillery... You just cant fall behind in artillery tech. I really love this game aut it is in the end all around artillery. Is till feel that the LV1 Artillery feels right ...

RE: The Montenegro Gambit Test 2

<r> Damm, you it is just to cheesy. And I cant resit it after seeing how effective it is <E>:(</E>. The interessting part is that another opponent railed in his troops as CP one turn later to not sell all his tech chits and it allowed the Serbs and Montenegriens to get organised and defend ...

RE: Convoys not working as expected

I will check if soemhow the port is affected its July 1915. I think all countries are 100% mobilized. Actually I dint a pretty decent cleanup of enemy subs already just in case ;) I have to wait till I get my next move in the MP battle back.

Convoys not working as expected

<r> ITs July 2015 . But somehow the US, Canada or in this case UK are sending any money anywhere. Its a first for me and I would like to undertand what triggered this behaviour<br/>

RE: CP opening attack in the East and game balance

<t> I agree with mdsmall here. The ability to sell the tech chits in the first round allows quite a lot of cheesy moves. This one turn can make all the difference especially in the beginning. The Central Power already have a big advantage as they can move and place addtional units. THe abilty to ...

RE: Eliminating Montenegro on turn 2

<t> Problem is that you can rail in overwhelming forces quickly in the first round if you sell tech research. There are to many exploits you can otherwise make happen. Overwheling suddnely Serbia before first move. Cut Poland from Ruisa, take out Montenegro.<br/>
