I would oppose the change for the reason that it forces the player down a certain path.<br/>
In that case you might as well take away the resource points from the WA and give them the Bomb automatically in Spring 1945; so the development does not go hand in hand with the HB improvement ...

<t> 16MB VRAM is probably the real bottleneck in your system; CPU and RAM are quite a bit better. I'd go for a videocard with 128MB (minimum) *dedicated* memory; should not be much more expensive than 32MB or 64MB.<br/>

<t> Problem: Subs are too effective against warships compared to history (IRL only Japanese subs were supposed to attack USN ships as their main role, but even they did not do too well). The occasional picking off of unlucky or crippled (towed) ships would not have to be modelled, since it is below ...

RE: Amphibious/airborne invasions not risky enough

One 'solution' would be to allow strategic movement out of the invaded area only if the unit has not been in combat.
Comparable to the current logic where a unit can keep invading as long as it has not fought.

There is an electronic (pdf) manual installed together with the game. Should be in your W@W folder but can also be accessed via the start menu.

You know you really miss out on improvements by not applying the latest patch!
