Re: Sea Power

would love to see this in CMO. Unfortunately, TacView replay isn't something that's going to happen in CMO. The TacView files are not encrypted, which means someone could use them to extract data out of for analysis. Interesting...I just checked in on the Steel Beasts forum as its been a while sinc...

Re: 15 Years

I restarted the Allied campaign vs the AI. Reading the notes I saw I had too many old script files so I cut it down to the most recent 2019 and later scripts and restarted. As the Allied player the initial Japanese strikes on Manila seemed kinda weak and left too many ships and subs intact. I sorta ...

15 Years

Its been 15 years. Played a full campaign PBEM in WitP and soon after finishing the Witp Campaign AE came out and played a full campaign PBEM. Both time played allieds and got to 1945. In second game took Okinawa and tried to invade Japan, but screwed it up and we decided to call it a game. Was pump...

High Sticking Scenario

Started this as a PBEM mirrored game. Both of us noticed that on first turn the Warsaw Pact player targets the Canadian armor with uncanny accuracy.

Neither planned the fire missions and when you look at the WP fire support, its not scheduled to arrive for some time.

Might be a bug.

Your Website

I see your using phpBB/ I've been having consistent problems with getting "an invalid form was submitted" This makes it difficult to access your website as well as the beta testing area to add input. There seems to be an issue with this using phpBB. I did a search and this has been discuss...

Re: Re Install Issue

Thanks, I tried to reply yesterday but your servers seemed to be down. I manually went into registry and deleted references to command except for a couple that would not delete then ran geek and was then able to install.

I'll keep this reg cleaner if I need in future.

Thanks!

[RESOLVED] Re Install Issue

I had an issue with installed version so I deleted using add/remove programs. I downloaded latest version, but when I tried re-installing I get an error that incompatible version installed,

I'm trying to re install with CMO-MultiSetup-v1.05.1307

Re: US Navy, the S-3 Viking. Why is this gone?

IMO-most of the resources is being spent on unmanned ASW platforms-think drones. No proof, but I have zero doubt a undersea type of unmanned system that is both capable of underwater and transformation into a flying type of system is in development if not already in testing/operation. There is talk ...

Re: Sea Power

Saw results of survey and they are going to work on AI as well as accessibility and controls. What all that translates in reality remains to be seen. As creator of thread and initial enthusiast of game I've purchased and yet to have put many hours into SP. Ironic but not surprising. That's life. Jus...

Re: Graphical options

WEGO would be another great feature to have. Even look at command cycles as in Flashpoint Campaigns. This may be too much for the designer. IIRC this is a very small design team.

Artillery Dialog Box

It seems like when you access the Artillery dialog a menu comes up and its in the center of screen and it can't be moved. Also the arrow keys to pan view stops working. It would be useful to be able to more menu boxes to different parts of the monitor screen.

Re: Graphical options

Bought at release and starting to get back into it. Played the original for a while. I like the inclusion of 3D graphics. Adds to experience. Is there any plans to include replay that allows you to save and see the battle in 3D? Once you start a battle you're probably going to be in zoomed out view ...

Re: Sea Power

Finally picked this up and played a little. Needs lots of work, but it is early access so not surprised. Absolutely needs mission management tools or it will remain severely hamstrung once you get into medium to larger sized operations with many assets. Basically a 2024 version of Fleet Command that...

Re: Sea Power

This was on my first day buy list. Got the notification a couple of days ago went on Steam and saw the positive reviews. Read many of the reviews and still haven't purchased. I'm sure they will work out many of the issues, but pretty clear that the lack of many features hamstrings the game at presen...

Re: Sea Power

If there is a record feature the eye candy aspect will be nice. Still for larger operational operations looks like it will get busy, perhaps too busy for interface, but who knows maybe in future they’ll come up with something we’ll just see what we get. Looking at current events in the South China S...

Re: SPI's Air War Game and A/C's Defensive Maneuvers

wow this brings back memories. Spent many hours during my summer going through the instructions to the predecessor to Airwar-Foxbat and Phantom with my uncle and neither of us could figure out the game, it was certainly too advanced for me at the time. I did dream of the day and wondered if computer...

Re: Sea Power

CMO is in a class of its own and can simulate on a scale that Sea Power probably can't handle. Sometimes though you want a "lighter" sim/game to play. From what I've seen its pretty engaging to see missiles in the air while ships put out missile, AA fire and chaff. While you'll see helos c...
