I think a more intelligent initial set up in random games is needed. It is far to difficult to set up a division or corp campaign and keep any sort of organizational integrity the way it is now.

RE: Wasn't this supposed to be a summer title?

<t> The extra delay should be well worth it from what I can tell. I do not mind the delay, because I was planning on getting it for Xmas. Not that any member of my family would buy it for me, but there is always my credit card company. Too bad they always end up asking me to pay for it in the end ...

The fact the box art is done means nothing about a pending release. It does show how efficient the graphic artist is, however.

European Participaton/Activation

<t> Will the European powers be represented by units in the game? That is, will there be diplomats involved? Also, if the right conditions are met, then will there be actual European ground, and naval units that will come into play?<br/>

Perhaps a lot of WPO owners spend most of their time playing rather than WITP owners who spend most of there time posting.[;)]

RE: Another idea to be ignored....

It would be a great game if the air and naval aspects were added Not that TOAW 3 isn't a great game right now.

As for the .bmp files, I would like to see that as well as have Playboy bunnies come over and jump up and down as we celebrate my victory. Now that would be fun.[;)]

Take your time with the game. I have waited a long time for somebody to upgrade these games for XP. It was a sad day when Talonsoft was taken over by Take2. They ruined a great company that produced very enjoyable games. In my opinion anyway.[8D][:)

RE: Top Five of World War I

<t> I have such a hard time coming up with any generals who are worthy of note from WWI. Most of them had no idea how to conduct a battle. Just send 4 waves of soldiers against a defensive position hoping there would be enough left in the 4th line to take the position. Hardly a plan of an ...

<t> I can remember when I first came across EiA when I was on vacation in Toronto way back in 1987. I was so excited to see a game on the Napoleonic period that on a grand strategic level. When I got back home, I hoped that I could find it in Winnipeg. I was lucky enough find a copy, and I played it ...

From what I can tell by the post is that Frank Hunter did not respond to your request in any way. The assumption is that he is working on fixing the "game stopper crash." It seems odd to me that he would not respond to a Matrix Games Administrator. I hope the game is not dead.

RE: When is Matrix going to admit this game is vaporware?

I hope my 3 year old son takes up strategy games like these. That way when he comes to visit me in the retirement home he can lighten up my day by giving AARs. Sadly, that may be as close as I get to playing the games.
