I think there may be some confusion as others are pointing out: the corrupt file is the 1.058 game installer, NOT the 1.058 patch which is ok.

So those players who already have the game installed can easily use the 1.058 patch to update, but those of us returning players who need to install the ...

I don't know why but the text is fine now. Crazy!

Vizio 1920x1080. It's new this year. Same monitor as when the text was fine.

The text is back to being blurry after the latest update. Unplayable. The settings above are still intact on the Start.exe file.

Desert War music works fine on Win11. Although there is an issue with using the F key, it works once or twice then goes weird. That's another forum though.

That fixed it plenty good! Text is dark black and easy to read. Thank you for showing up.

The file is Start.exe.

I wish I had not bought this sequel. These two games take a ton of study to use, even WITE2 is easier for me and works great on all my computers.

I have the music turned down to almost off and it stays for a while then goes really loud. This is on a new Windows 11 laptop. My other PC is running Windows 10 and it's fine on that rig. Using my laptop playing Desert War the music works fine.

Same with me. I have a brand new Alienware laptop, the top of their line rig and the text is horrible.

My laptop is running Windows 11. My other PC is running Windows 10 and the text is fine.

I just tried Desert War on my laptop and text is perfect.

What to do?

I bought it. My city names on the map are a green font in a green box. Makes it impossible to read city names.
