The date 9 November is quite significant for Germany. In addition to the fall of the Berlin Wall (1989) it has also witnessed the abdication of the Kaiser (1918) and Kristallnacht (1938) which can be viewed as the informal start to the policy which was subsequently formalised at the Wanasee Conference.

A piece of interesting info. A 10foot wide by six feet tall piece of the Berlin wall can be found in the Main Street Station Casino. Its located in the men's bathroom just off the main casino floor. How clever were the casino owners and how beautiful life was when there was no PC.
Its set up where the urinals are located. So symbolically you can piss on the wall and all that ideology represents.
