- Companion to the Red Army, Zaloga and Ness, 2009, pages refer to this source.
- German Intel - BArch source will be given

  1. DONE OB:2486 41 Mortar Battalion [page 130]
    → Manpower: 276→350
  2. DONE OB:2466 42c Mortar Regiment [page 130]
→ Motorization Status: "All" needs to be "Supply Only" (this was an unmotorized TOE)
  3. DONE OB:2457 Light Artillery Regiment (German Intel BArch RH 2/2530 pic 269, it is for the Regiment inside the Light Brigade, from 1944, motorized)
    → Manpower 1344→557

Note: Why would a Regiment of 24x76mm need 1344Men while 36x152mm Gun-Howitzer needs 1284 (both are motorized "All") during the same late41/early42 period? As a comparison, the AT-Regiments containing 20x76mm had 489Men and those containing 18x45mm+36x76mm had 964Men [page 127]. Additionally, the 76mm Regiments of the Light Brigade of the Artillery Divisions were called "tank-destroyer artillery regiments" [page 139], possibly further aligning usage/manpower between 76mm used as AT/Artillery. Further, the game contains a 42 Light Artillery Brigade [OB:2412] with 1872Men, which is basically the unit used in the Artillery Divisions.
So to me the German intel number of 577 (from 1944) seems more logical in every possible way. Not sure about the 1872 of the Brigade, 577x3 leaves 141 for Staff, seems about alright.
  4. DONE OB:2397 43 Breakthrough Artillery Division [page 140, Source 2]
    → Manpower: 12884→10869
Note: The difference may be related to the OB:2457, which is too large with 1344 instead of 557Men, which makes 12884 into 10523 when re-calculated, which almost matches the 10869!
Or alternatively the 41 Light Artillery Brigade being used would give us 10724. So 10869 from the Source seems alright.
  5. DONE OB:2398 44 Breakthrough Artillery Division [page 140, Source 2]
→ Date: 03/1944→must be either 09/1944 or 10/1944 according to the source.
    → Guns changes:
    • 76mm Guns 72x→48x
    • Rocket Launchers 72x→36
    • 160mm Mortars 48→36
    • 152mm Guns/Howitzers either 36gun-Howitzers or 32howitzers, not both. ...Some 122mm Regiments are stated to be mixed tho, but this means some 122mm were to be exchanged I suppose. But I have as of now no idea HOW they were "MIXED".
Note: Niehorster lists the compositions of those units for the Battle for Berlin. Every Division is different obv. but the size that's currently in game (gun-wise) is not reflected by that.
→ Manpower: currently 14784 → needs calculation (source does not provide any)
As base I take the prior TOE from 1943. and calculate with "correct" gun numbers.
    What changed:
    +32x160mm Mortar (1x OB:2424, 656Men)
    +36xRocket Launcher (no exact fitting Brigade, 50% of OB:2417 = 596)
-36x76mm Gun (as mentioned before 577)
    -36x152mm Gun (OB:2414, 1524Men)
    =10869+656+596-577-1524=10020
Calculating little different I get 10300.
  6. DONE OB:2400 Cannon Artillery Division [page 140]
    → Guns: +48x76mm Gun
    → Manpower: 8492→5249
Note: As before, here we need to add a Regiment 577 + a Battalion of 76mm guns, this goes on top of 3x1564Men for the three Brigades. The Battalions were put as AT assets to the brigades is how I understand it.
