BFTB

Post by simovitch »

BFTB has really caught my interest, especially now that I have a good grasp of the system by playing HTTR for the past few weeks. IMHO AA is an ideal system for the operation scale that it represents.

I have been a student of this campaign for about 25 years, and I have an extensive library including quite a few 1944 US Army 1:50000 topos of the area. My brother Mark designed "Ardennes '44" for GMT and we are both hosting a tour of the Ardennes this fall for Consim members, having visited the area a number of times. I am currently a member of Combat Missions Historical Scenario Group (HSG) and have developed a number of historical Ardennes Maps & scenarios for CMAK & CMBO. I work with topographic maps on a daily basis as I am a licensed civil engineer and land surveyor.

I understand that the matrix design team has been established already, but I would like to offer my resources to the BFTB development team if they require any OOB, TO&E, and especially mapping quality control.

Meanwhile I plan to continue brushing up an the system with HTTR and will definitely pick up COTA when it (finally) gets released.

My email is in my profile.

cheers to all.

Hi,

I mailed your brother about that tour and we agreed to meet IRL - I'm the "local guy" - small world :)

oh hey eddie that's cool.[8D] I remember Mark asking me to meet up with you. I suggested Mardasson and I think that's where we are meeting up. We will need your local expertise to hit the good pubs in Bastogne[:D]

small world indeed. I wonder if BFTB will be released by October 06?[;)]

Not *that* local - living near Brussels - but I sure know what stuff to order :)

If the beta bunnies (of which I'm a happy member) can keep Arjuna on schedule that might be the case.

Now some of the other beta testers have taken umbridge at Eddy's irreverent reference to them as the "beta bunnies" and have asked me to draw due attention to the fact that their official title is the "Panther Prowlers". Now I realise that this is not going to have any effect on Eddy but I at least I have stated it for the record.[;)]
