WANTED: Jap Opponent

I have yet to play a PBEM and since I have only played as Allied against the AI, I have decided to start a PBEM.

I would like to have both Sub doctrines off, PDU's on (some possible restrictions), 2 day turn cycles, and variable turn one (always wanted to see a "what if" about US CV's maybe being at PH), other settings to be negotiated.

I use standard WitP with 1.6 patch. If you want to use alternative map or Mod's, then you may have to walk me through the download process.

I'm slightly past newbie as allies; never played the other side, but willing to give it a try. 2-day turns could be interesting.

I have been playing with beta 1.795, would have to downgrade to 1.6 (trade one set of bugs for a different set of bugs). My vote would be to go with 1.795.

I would hope to look at this as a learning experience - the forum posts all say pbem is the way to go. I tried a pbem a year ago (when I truly was newbie), and got my head handed to me. It was no fun at all - I was completely outlclassed (the name was 'string'). So if somebody fubars bigtime, restarts may be agreeable.

If this makes sense to you, then we can give it a go.
