P-38 Lightning in the update?

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

P-38 Lightning in the update?

Post by Augenstein »

What versions of the P-38 are we going to get in the update? Brought up this subject, because everyone is always talking about Mustangs and Thunderbolts. I personally think that the P-38 shouldnt be overlooked.

I think we should have atleast three versions of the P-38:

P-38G, the most widely built version of early Lightnings. These were used in the MTO.

P-38H and/or an early P-38J, these were used extensively in the ETO from Fall 1943 to Summer of 1944.

P-38L, the most succesfull of all P-38 designs, with most of the P-38's problems cured (engine reliability, diving flaps added etc).

I think I can show this

if not, then time for my weekly butt chewing

P-38E
P-38F
P-38G
P-38H
P-38J
P-38L
P-38M
P-38 Droopsnoot

now, what all is going to be in and used and set up and what not, I can't say, but that is the 38 list

Well, that list sounds too good to be true :)

Personally, the F, G, H, J (an early J because the J-25 was basically the same as L) and L- versions should be the priority.

Roger that, the E and F I believe are pretty much on the way out by the time the game starts (if the start date remains the same), but we looking at stats/pics just in case

Anything you can let us in on, please?

Are there any provisional release dates?

the last time I talked with David, about some of this kind of things, he said to let him handle that side of the game

so any info on release dates and what not should come from the people at Matrix themselfs

as for being a tease, that is about all I to give out right now :)

once all the art work is back in and ready, maybe Marc will let us show some of it

What start date?

The P-38F saw quite a bit of action in the MTO...and the first ETO lightening kills were recorded by a P-38F.

Worr, out
