1400 Hours

We have been ordered to set up defensive positions and hold the germans back from advancing any more towards Tobruk. The sky is clear and you can see for at least 1900 yards in all directions. The time is 1400 hours and it is hot and hard to breath sometimes. I believe adaquit water has been given to all the troops. A line of mines has been deployed in front of all our positions. Should slow down a lot of the german armor we can hear already advancing our way.

There are a few low hills to our front but also a lot of open ground for the germans to cross as well. I have given the gunners an order to hold fire until they are within 600 yards of our position. This should be one heck of a fight as we have heard at least 5 companys of men and 3 of tanks will be hitting us here today. The XV Panzer grenadiers is part of the mass that will come at us today. We are happy to see them once again as we want to get revenge for what they did to us last year. We must cut there tank strength down quick and our 150 will deal with the infantry.

Our 150s have opened up on there rear areas trying to disrupt there advance as soon as possible. This should give us time to deal with there armor before they can fully recover. For the glory of the Empire God save the King.

1430 Hours

Only a half hour into this battle and the Germans have had enough. Our tanks gunners were fantastic today. Our 150s were dropping right on target cutting the enemy down like a wheat scythe. Literally taking a row of men down with every shot. They lost 1655 men in the slaughter. Even tanks were being blasted into the air from this terrible bombardment. They lost 33 tanks plus 65 artty pieces. I assume the heavy loss of life was the main cause of the early retirement from the field. it really doesnt matter what caused it just that our losses were minamum. We lost 312 men plus 18 tanks.

This was a one sided fight really. there infantry never had a chance once our artty found there target and opened up. It was kiss your ass goodbye if you were in there fire zone. And our tank gunners could not miss today. Plus we were in some well constructed defenses today. Had a long time to prepare for the German assualt. Dont think but one tank made it to our mine field and he lsot a track trying to come thru it.

All in all it has been a good day for the Empire. LONG LIVE THE KING.
