Lots of variants of that one. Try the extended Japanese (?) action version:

The word from Speedy is that you've also lost a whole lot of penguins in China!
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

Yellow penguins? I thought those were called 'canaries'.

You shouldn't bombard before assaulting. I know, I didn't believe it either but it is true. You will probably have to airfield attack for several weeks to knock supply down enough to make an attack worth it. Look for airfield supply hits...that's what you want. Unfortunately, I don't believe there is an airfield within Sonia range of Chungking. Sonia's get me more airfield supply attacks than any other Japanese plane.

You should bombard, just not with your assualt forces. Let them rest while you pound him with your artillery.

yes there is. its called Kweiyang. I've been using it to heavily bombard chungking in my game, which is reduced to nothing much more than a chinese stalingrad, without the freezing germans.

Hi guys........I hold Kweiyang and have been bombing like mad....till Speedy brought in around 150 fighters...Lightnings and Spits.......and that's put paid to that.........I just lack enough fighters of quality to force the issue.......now we'll see if my flanking attack headed on the trails from Hanoi to Yunan....has enough ummph to force the Issue.......

After the long haul from Hanoi.....I doubt it. Why not move down from Kweiyang?

Both bombardment TFs hit ATTU today......Speedy lost 5 PTs, me a destroyer, and he lost a handfull of aircraft....but I still feel he got the best of the deal....but at least I feel I'm doing something.......

Lost a TK full of oil off Borneo to his subs...along with 2 AKs near the HIs.......

China....and Burma...... all bogged down..............

Steven has said that when he gets back from Turkey....he'll continue his AARs....so I thought I should update.....

Not much to tell really...

I think Steven must have sent his big guns back for RnR.....the problem of the North is the wear on ships......my problem is my ships are also in need of a bit of downtime..........so all is now quiet....

He is also moving on the rail west of Myt........I have 1000ap in level 3 fort and building....so even with 8 units on the way....I think I'll have tooo much for him.........a new 500 ap Div is on It's way......though it is agood time to think about flanking me and try for say Vic. Point......I need to move some airgroups in to cover.....if only I had some spare ones........

Does this mean no activity in the Central and South Pacific? How far did you manage to advance in those regions?

Very little at the moment.....I took all of the Solomans and NG at the start of the Game......but otherwise it's all pretty historical......I was prepping a big Op. to take Baker,Canton....and smash south to Suva...when Steven's Northern storm broke.....but having now lost all my exp. carrier pilots.....(most now have exp low 40s).....I'm loath to commit to any big op.....Steven is away this week, so I'll spend some quality time with the Turn.....and try to find someway to regain at least some initiative.....
