Password REVOKED!

Post by JagdFlanker »

me and my opponent have be having a heck of a time trying to get a game started - twice in row it seems that all of a sudden his password no longer works within a ferw turns of starting a new game. since nobody else seems to have this problem, what would cause a player to lose access to his side? we both have 1.2.

the last time this happened he did his very first jap turn and then sent it to me. i did the usa very first turn, i saved it in slot 4 before i ended my turn, then i ended my turn, saved in slot 18 and sent to to him. he emailed me back stating he would not be able to do his turn for a few days so i decided to go back to the slot 4 and reexamine my turn since i knew i forgot to move my PH subs. so i did that, ended my turn again and saved in slot 18 again, then sent it to him. now his password doesn't work - i tried both our passwords in my machine and neither gets in.

last time there was no funny business - all of a sudden his password no longer got him in any more on turn 3! just funny how it happened twice in a row! mabe i'm overlooking something?

Weird.

Try playing without passwords at all - leave it blank. Or check encoding - multi-lingual machines have tendencies to switch layouts at the worst possible moments... due to unnoticed Human User Errors =)

This is wierd. One thing that could have happened (it happened to me and Term) is that I saved the turn, but I did not end the turn. So it kept asking for my password instead of his. Try putting in your password, and see if that is it. Barring that, is their any chance he forgot his password, or had a letter capitalized or something?
