Best AAR Award

Post by Ddog »

I'd like to nominate Roger Neilson for best AAR writer. If you haven't had a chance to read his posts, take a couple minutes, you won't be disappointed. Kudos Roger!!!
I'd rather be lucky than good.

I'll agree with that, some fine writing there Roger!

Cap Mandrake and some of the Fear and Loathing gang are right up there as well.

I'd have to nominate Wobbly...he did good with his WitP AAR but his UV AAR totally ROCKED!![8D]

I just looked and it isn't there anymore...[:@]

Anyway...he did his UV AAR from the perspective of sailors and airmen that participated in the combat...it was really cool.

well, everyone has their own preferences, naturally. My vote goes unequivocally to Captain Mandrake's AAR in the Allied portion of "Fear and Loathing" in the Pacific. Not only are the reports beautifully done with customized maps and *very* realistically done documents (i actually could not tell if some of them were real National Archives stuff or his creations on occasion) but also with hilarious writing with Yossarian's misadventures (a la Catch 22)!!

Kudos to Cap Mandrake!![&o][&o][&o]

I would have to agree, though at times Captain Mandrake's writing puzzles me... maybe it loses translation across the pond. I'm a fan of Catch 22 so I appreciate the humour.

It is the most inventive AAR I have read.

All the same its nice to see people enjoying my own humble scribbles.
