"Backing Up" once formation is selected?

Post by headtrauma »

When playing a league game, when the offensive formation is selected, is it possible to back up if one changes one's mind? There's one stock formation (I forget which) which only has one running play (and that's a quaterback draw!). [:)]

Thanks!

Button 2 on the game pad. #2 on the keyboard and possibly the right mouse button. I always tested using keyboard and #2 did the job. BTW, the same button/key will set your designated guys in motion which is veryimportant for some plays.

Just one added note: at this time, one cannot back up to call a punt if you don't watch the downs. If you do that, it is usually best to take a delay of game and call the punt after that.

The mouse controls need to be documented in the manual. It's obvious once you understand the association between the 1, 2, and 3 keys with the 1 (left), 2 (right), and 3 (middle) mouse buttons, but for some of us who aren't so bright, it takes a while to understand this. [:)]

Does the 2 key start players in motion in coaching mode? The manual has that under 'Arcade mode', and I haven't seen it work yet (maybe I'm not using the right plays?) in coaching mode.

Also, has anyone been able to call a time-out? I saw another post that says you can if you use the 2 key when the players are walking back to the huddle, but I haven't been able to get it to happen using either the keyboard or the mouse.

The presnap commands for coach are the same as arcade. Someone asked why they need to send the players in motion in coach mode. It's the same reason you need to snap the ball in coach mode. The most important reason is that it gives you, as a gamer, something to do on the field. Secondly, it allows you to decide wheather or not to put the players in motion. Just because a play is drawn up with motion, doesn't mean you care to do that.

To call a time out, press button (key) 3 while the players are going back to the huddle.

Yep, that works, Thanks.
