Incorrect punting rule - U.S.?

Happened more than once now.
The ball is spotted at the 20 yard line after getting a really good punt that went out of bounds inside the 10 (obviously playing arcade mode as in coaching mode all the punts are straight down the middle [:'(]). In U.S. rules ball should only come out to 20 if it goes into the end zone on a punt (not sure what they do in Canada in that situation [;)]).

To clarify: a punt that goes out of bounds is spotted at the yard line where it went out of bounds (unless it goes into the end zone).
