PFS - Command Point Question

Post by Frenzy »

I'm trying to create a play where the QB fakes a handoff, moves to another point, and then passes. When I select the Handoff/Pitch To and Fake to HB it doesn't allow me to use the additional fields to do another action. Does anybody know how to make those available?

Had the same problem. The QB will, however, throw a pass after the fake even though he won't move.

Has anybody else had this problem? I had one time where it allowed me to do the fake and then move but I don't know how I got it to work. Either I'm doing something wrong or this is a bug.

Are you saying that when you select the hand off/ pitch to option that the other two commands are greyed out?

I saw this and changed the database file so handoff was no longer the last command, (its in the logic DB). It works fine now.

Sounded like that was the solution. I'll make sure that change is made to the defaults.

Thanks

Which database file?

Which database file?

MainData.MDB in your root maximum football directory. In that there is a table for "Logic Commands", or something like that. You will see a all the possible logic commands in it and you can adjust some of the settings.

The way I have gotten around this problem is:
1) assign a "wait" command in the QB's first command box and then a move to or dropback to point command in the second box.
2) Go back to the first command box and replace "wait" command with the fake handoff command. When you do that the move to command in the second box "gray's out".
3) Save the play.
4) After saving the play, the move to command becomes active and will function.

Doh! Sounds logical. Thanks.

Sounds like one more chance for me to screw up the play but if it works then that is cool. Thanks.[:)]

How can you access the database? I can't seem to open the file.

Thanks Deft, removing the checkmark in the DB fixed the problem.

Is there some place where know fixes can be kept? I'm sure others will run into this problem and would like to find an answer quickly. Even those people that don't have Access on their computers can use the workaround Old Coach provided until this is fixed in a patch.

Another one you need to know-

Go in and add DBs to the available positions that can Pass Rush. Otherwise you can't blitz from the secondary.
