Quick ground Combat/Battle

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Combat involving less than a total of 30,000 men on either side is always resolved using Quick Combat. p.33 of manual.

I agree with you, I'd like the option of Detailed Combat everytime as well.

Yes, I do understand the rule and the reasoning behind implementing quick battles into COG.

But the combat results are lost in yet another thick fog that I have yet to understand.

PS: To tell you the truth, the one leading reason I purchased COG was due to the detail battle option , with out it the game is kind of flat and find it hard to beleave I would have held onto any interest in the title.
