to be honest it was second action within week
1 one was poorly coordinated and brought only 90 planes
there is a lot of thunderstorms in region - as well as all over the world so it is easy to hide under clouds

"Calm" before the storm. Interesting . . . at this point time works for and against both sides. It gives the Japanese a chance to build up their resource and production levels, but it also gives the Allied combat units a breather. The USN is not quite ready to take on the Japanese in all-out battles, although a coordinated attack with the remnants of Eastern Fleet might accomplish some good. How is the training of the TBF squadrons coming?
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

i think i know what Raver can do and want to prepare as good as I can
I could not force him to decisive battle so i'll try to catch him in middle stage of war
Good info is that today -9/18/42 - oscar stopped to be a frontline fighter - all groups besides training ones are equipped with Tojo/Tony
low activity allows me for supply accumulation - almost 3,2mln now even if I spend a lot and repair all r&d factories at once
also i can finish china without need to move a/c and supply somewhere else
Fleet is in excellent shape - I carry out intensive air training in PI - fighters sqn are considered ready after reaching 75-78 lvl
sallys /helens are trained to 85-95 and nells/betty had very low combat losses so are nearly as good as at war beginning
3rd carrier duvision+ light carriers train its air groups now- they were low on exp as part of pilots started as rookies and light carriers had no opportunity to rebuild cadres
I made enormous effort - not seen in any of my games - to fortify my perimeter - can't wait to see results
to be honest i miss my daily reports when game was full of action

Sneer, you can horde supplies and oil till the cows come home, but at the end of the day it is not going to do anything for you. I am coming and I am carrying a big stick.

we entered 10/42 today - situation update

china - operations against inner allied bases started - chungking/Kwieyang targeted
kungchang surrounded forces left and guarded - only land & air bombardment - waiting for patch - maybe this bug will be solved - i see weird situation there - number of chinase troops shown in combat report grows steadily

north - quiet - recently reconed aleutians

midway- wake region - allied sub activity - gato hit by nell

baker/canton/gilberts S36 recently hit by mine - we have mine war on pacific

salomons - quiet

timor/n.guinea - allies occasionaly train bombers crews over less protected bases

burma/east india - air war only - occasionaly Benares and sometimes other place under bombers/ FB raid

Tojo performance

Post by Sneer »

10/5/42
day as usual
enemy raid over Asanol
Wellington III x 34
P-40B Tomahawk x 23
B-25C Mitchell x 42
vs
Ki-44-IIb Tojo x 33

2 nd generation fighters proved to be really good

4 tojos were lost
enemy losses
9 P40B
9 wellington
7 mitchel

i lost 9 sallys on the ground so it was not successful as it could be
I noticed i lost not only planes but also crews -does anybody have any idea why i loose pilots -it is another bug in game

nevertheless my fighter force is worth its name and it pays out to keep exp high - most of my army fighters have 75-85 exp :-)
all frontline army units have tony/tojo
pity i have no george/ jack in the navy [8|]
BTW
chinase oil production below 5
resource production below 200

you could always try to divert my supply as it was limited for a long time by any kind of counterattack
10/7/42 kweiyang taken with ease
china is doomed
I'm very surprised that i managed to take this base on first day of assault - looks like second ring of bases was not fortified heavily
within 2 months I expect only Chungking in chinase hands
3.3 mln of supply - I start to prepare many fuel/supply dumps at chosen locations on perimeter line 2.
Till september every ton of supply was sent to china and for a/c training as well as forts doing - very little was in operational reserve instead of serious fights. Now situation changes very quickly - in 2 month I will be ready for anything Raverdave can bring to me. Another experianced Kwantung Division should be released tomorrow with destination of Mobile Reserve.

Disaster in China

Somehow, Sneer's AAR was a lot more useful. I don't think I've seen many Japanese plyers get that far -- I wonder if Sneer is planning to come up the Burma road into India.

I don't understand this part about usefulness of this AAR.
i hope this AAR will back to life when allied decide to do sth.
difficult to say what to do with chinase army - there are several plans but first I need to clear inner ring of bases - it will be easy and will take up to 2 months. than I will face Chungking - I expect Raver to make last stand there.
there will be sth like 25 big inf units free
enough to make a big mess on continent

All what happen and what is not seen is part of bigger plan which usefulness will be checked in next few months. I often thought about harassing pacific island and in the end found that balance of advantages is relatively small over costs in scenario where allies denies any decisive battle in 1942. Conclusion was that it is not profitable in long run. Am I right ? we will checkit sooner or later

Also I have found the weak spot in Sneer's defensive line and will be hitting him in the next game month or two. Just have to get the supplies and ships in place. I am in no hurry as it is only late'42 and time is on my side.

Timor area always is weaker than North OZ bases
but its purpose is not of offensive nature
it is a shield where troops and planes rotate
to be honest i prefer to fight you there not in pacific :-)
i need ports for damaged ships you know ... otherwise brave japanese sailors will sink them during repairs
in 2 months i will have 5 reserve divisions in mobile force [:D] ready for action together with attached transport units
