The Java Sea is boiling over! Following the landings at Merak on the eastern tip of Java, Bill has begun landing at Batavia as well. Unfortunately Bill was also supporting operations in southern Sumatra, and coupled with the heavy bomber losses last week successfully neutralizing the eastern Java airfield complex, not enough pressure was maintained on Bandoeng and aircraft from this base have been brutally telling against his amphibious TFs.

The situation is under control but the pressure is mounting.

The Japanese have over 60,000 men On Java at Merak and Batavia, but may have a problem keeping them supplied given the massive losses sufferred by the Japanese merchant marine. I don't have hordes of troops on Java but enough to contain the Japanese beachead and any landings made in the near future. Bill's airpower in the region is powerful but I don't think powerful enough to gain air superiority without carriers.
