More outlandish escapades of those evil Japs. [:'(] Johnston Island, Palmyra, Sandakan, and more bases in PI fall this day. Units are falling back to defend Clark Airfield and Manila. Most of the undamaged ships in PI will try to make a run for it, to all points wherever. [:D] Only one capital ship, a crusier, is in the area. About half of the rest of the ships and subs at Manila are damaged, in fct too damaged to move. I might try to move them next if given the opportunity. Now for some bright points of our day. [X(][:'(][8D][:)][:D]

Battle of the Day.

[:-][:'(][:-]

Hero of the Day

Again this distinction will go to the brave seamen of the light cruiser Boise.

Day Time Surface Combat, near Balikpapan at 31,64

Japanese Ships

At this day I am getting reports of glen sightings, so I will asume there are subs out near SF and SD. When things quiet down, I will send my destroyers out. My several surface task frosces are still a few days out of SF and Seattle, its a race against the enemy carriers if they decide to turn that way. [:-][X(]

o bloody Mersing......isn't as bloody as it should be and I fear the allies will get away with it......

???Wait a sec, aren't YOU the Allies?[X(][:D]

This sounds like the Confederate commander that joined the US Army for the Spanish American war. In the heat of battle on Cuba, he yelled (something like) "Git those d@mned Yankees, boys!!"[:D]

Ooops caught out again......I AM THE ALLIES.....I AM THE ALLIES....repeat Mantra.....

Well done to Scott for killing the Canton Is. invasion force........

Our JAPANESE op. have gone for the mega big one.....but there are cracks........

Still no sign of Japanese air units on any of the DEI bases they have siezed.....

Boise is a great ship and I have had it used ruthlessly against me.......E.G. Mark(bait boy) Galliver....who sank at least 20 ships before I hunted Boise down...now it is nice to use it as the ALLIES.......but she is 47sys 18float.....so she will retire to Java......
The Dutch CLs 3CLs and 6 dds....is heading for Balik......to tidy up what Boise started.....

The Japs have a TF headed for Victoria Point.....so a Brit Air Combat force is heading to have a look........

Maps soon .....

Top Secret Base in Antartica

The Penguin waddles up to the podium.
"Fellow penguinett and peguineese, I bear some bad news. It seams the evil Jap empire has launched a air strike on our ships near Canton Island. The cruiser Chigago was sunk while several other ships were damaged. Our Noumea base was captured this afternoon. The heroic ship, the Louisville was scuttled to avoid cature after the base was overrun. Two light New Zealand light cruisers were not in time to help the Louisville. [:(] All of our battleships have arrived at their top secret bases code named, Penguin Bases 1,2, and 3. [:D]. The Commander of Central Penguin Base has redirected 11 B17 bombers to Penguin Base Midway. an invasion force was seen a few days out. A squad of 4 Penguin Tordepo Boats, classified as PT boats, were also dispatched."

2 (game) days have past since the last update........it is now Dec. 16th 1941.........
The Japanese have invaded Midway using the 4th Div.........this is Scotts theatre so more his headache...but why.....there are only three reasons to take Midway......
Troop killing raid........(but with a whole Div.?)
Bring on fleet engagement.....(but since they have already sunk 2 of our three carriers...hmmmm)
To prep the invasion of P.H. and it's environs..........we shall see.....

Lost another of the Brit CLs.....had been badly damaged turn 1...and was trying to sneak out of KL when hit by Nells.......
Dutch cruisers hit 2 Jap. DDs off borneo....sunk both......

In China I took Nanning on the southern railroad........will persue to Nearby port base.....then hope to still have time to join troops at Wuhan....but HK may fall too soon for that....

Evac. TFs headed for Georgetown and Alor Setar.....3 days out.....will see what happpens.....
AVG/A withdrawn to Rangoon.....low morale........but have 2 aces now in AVG/B flying out of Changsha......
POW has a speed of 1...no float damage and still in Singapore......when Evac. TFs arrive in the north will try to sneak her out...she is 99 sys damage......so may just be a diversion for Jap. LRBs....
