League Editing Issues

Post by solops »

Please. Help me. When using the editor that came with the game I want to edit the overtime in the USMFL so that it there is no overtime. The option to do so is there and I have selected it, but as soon as I save , the option reverts to 15 minutes and my change is reversed. And I am not allowed to change the setting in the main game in the "Set Rules" section for league play.

This is on top of the disaster of editing some teams in a league, playing one test game, re-setting the season and then no longer being allowed to play any games in the re-started season.

Help. I am totally frustrated.

PS: Using 1.095

I think the problem with the overtime setting was introduced between 1.092 and 1.095, but I am not sure. The inability to play league games after re-setting the season was present in 1.092.

I am not sure if this is your problem but when a season is started you can not edit the rules - only after the season.

What 'editor that came with the game' are you using?

If your season has already been started you can't edit the rules. You'll need to finish the season or reset your league.

MFB-Util.

OK, I did not try to change the overtime from within the game until the season had started. So, that makes sense. My error. However, the MFB-Util would not allow me to change to "No Overtime" before the season started, when I was using it to set the league up.

Also, am I supposed to be able to eliminate the play clock during league play like I can for a quick game?

OK, I pushed the re-set button and now the "Play" and "Simulate" buttons won't light up and allow me to start playing games in the league again. What did I do wrong? And I still cannot change the overtime in either the MFB-Util or from within the game exe.

After a reset (all players are deleted) you have to draft players and go through the training camp. After the the training camp is completed you can can play or sim games.

My bad. I did NOT push the "Reset" button. I pushed the the "New Season" button.

Jeez..."Reset"...THAT would have been a disaster...

OK, I just uninstalled the game and then re-installed it with the 1.095 patch.

I am unable to change any of the settings for any of the three included leagues via the "League" button of the main menu screen of the MFB-main.exe.

I have done nothing else, played no games, etc.

I may be doing something wrong, but this did not happen under 1.092.

These leagues are in-season leagues that means you are ready to play. Draft and Training Camp are over. The leagues rules can not more changed.

Hitting the reset button cancels all season but a change of rules is not possible. I do not know it that was intendend. I made a new test league and could change the rules before i pressed the "Start Season" button.
