Well, here we are six months into the war......and who has the upper hand.......the sad truth is that the Allies doing very well..........
The Bad News.....

The Allies still hold Java.........though operation resolve will end that...but at a very heavy price, I expect........
The Allies hold Akyab and Mykit.... in Burma.......until Java falls Burma is on the defensive only.....
Our ship losses are huge.......good use of allied air assets around Malaya cost us dear........
Our Air group losses are also huge......
Yenen still held by Allies.......

The Good News

Operation Fleaflicker secured PM, and our position in south pac. strong........
.......and that's about it.........

OPERATION RESOLVE WILL BE KEY........we expect the Allies to throw everything they've got at us........

KB is moving into position to support my little surprise for Palembang in the way of a bombardment task force. I hope to not get shot up incomming and outgoing. I have approx 100 zeros on LCAP. Both in the support task force and outbound from Singapore. [:'(]. In the next fews days we will know the sucess in the start of Operation Resolve. [X(]

This is update, as it has been awhile for me.

New Guinea
First Port Moresby has been captured, but without securing all bases the large amount of Aussies have retreated up the Owen Stanleys and will have to dug out of their new hiding place.

Phillippines: Manila and Bataan have beem taken after a very long seige. Without the 48th Inf Div( which has gone into some dimesion but not in this game) and alot of other assets not in the Phillippines it took a while to reduce the forces there. Once Sallies and Helens where sent in large raids to reduce port supply, things finally did move forward. The ground forces there are now being prepped for Java to support operation "RESOLVE". Two brigades are now in transit to Timor, to secure the last base there controlled by the Allies. Koepang should fall in the next three weeks. One for transit and two on assaults.

Operation "RESOLVE"--- The name itself tells alot of what is in front of the Imperial Forces. Palembang an Java are to be taken. Northern Naval Forces committed are: Penguin 1 formerly KB 1 with 4 carriers based out of Saigon with Tanka's battle group of four BBs( including the Yamato) 4 CAs plus 3 CLs and 10 DDs. Southern Naval Forces committed are: KB 2 with 3 carriers and CVL based out of Palau and surface force of 2 BBs and 3 CAs plus 2 CLS and 8DDs.
Northern Naval forces are to secure the area of Palembang and bombard enemy air units at Palembang. Round one the enemy air units transfered out before bombardment. Tanaka is headed back. The time or round three if we get there Tanaka and the 2 Fast BBs plus Yamato will hit Batavia to try take care of the many 4E planes there. We as a group have secured all of Boreno and now are transfering air units to fight this battle. The three divisions in the Phillippines will loading up in the next 2-5 days and heading for Soerabaja. Every base between Bali and Koepang has been captured, this is to keep all the 3-5 range aircraft trapped in Java.

Southern Naval forces will support the taking of Koepang and take will be before the landings on Java proper. After that they will be sent aid the landings of Soerabaja. I know these battles are going to be tough, the Allies have put the 2nd UK at Palembang. Over the next few weeks we will try to update on operation "RESOLVE"

Operation RESOLVE was dealt a deadly blow today when....a mass allied airstrike.....of TBs flying from Palambang......hit and sank the ISE and the NAGATO.....ADm. Yamammoto(sp) chose to go down with his ships.........

The Koepang Invasion fleet.....1 day out....was also hit by the Brit. Carriers operating in these waters........we have a 3- carrier TF near by....so we may just catch them.....If JAVA proves beyond us....can we last until '44......

This is Lew's theatre....but I assume the 3 carriers at Kedari will this turn take up hunting the Brit flat tops......

The airstikes on KB.....came from Soerabaja and Bali........16 swordfish(two strikes).......three strikes from Beauforts.......some 36 aircraft......one Hudson strike.....12 aircraft.......two Martin strikes(iirc) say another 20 aircraft.....and two more stikes I can't remember the aircraft makeup............70+ Flying Forts hit Kendari.......most of the allied airgroups on JAVA are at Batavia...supporting Palambang against the northern arm of RESOLVE........so we got off lightly...only one hit on a MSW.........

Me, I'm sitting on my hands in Burma......and failing to take Kweiyang from Tom........
