One of the Treaty Cruisers (New Orleans or Northampton class), late-war, as witnessed by the quadruple Bofors mount. That's about as far as I can take it.

The Indianapolis?

I was thinking treaty cruiser as well, but that looks like a 5" barrel poking up just below the 40mm muzzles. Pretty sure none of the treaty cruisers had 5" mounts forward. I think this is an old BB. Would just about have to be one of the Idahos; by this time all the other 12-gun BBs would probably have had twin 5" mounts. Mississippi?

I agree they do look like 8". I can't squint hard enough to make that 5" fit on a cruiser though....[;)]

Plus, there's another Treaty cruiser in front of it. Would CA's and BB's have the same gun lines for shore bombardment, which this presumably is?
