I have been wanting too, but mostly my attention as been trying too pin out bugs too help out David. I do agree with many of your points though anash, a few extra features are really needed for Defense in the PDS (like Keying certain players would be extremely useful).

You can key some players - though I don't know exactly what the defender does in this situation. I really do not understand what some of the commands for the defense do. [&:]

The key on feature doesn't seem to work nor does the lineup on player both seem to leave the guy just standing there after the snap. It really favors the offense and overloading areas. This in my opinion is one of the first things that needs to be fixed.

I agree with the line up on feature, just leaves a guy standing there. On the key feature, do you issue a command afterwards? Have you tried it on running plays? I think it would only work for running plays where you "key on" the HB, an assignment only valuable to a LB.

I have experimented quite a bit with defense. There isn't much you can do at this point outside of some funky blitzes and zone coverage. The options need to be fixed and expanded on before we get anything decent to work with.

Do you give commands other than line up on man? Or are you expecting the defender to move up to the line of scrimmage in front of their man?

When I give the line up on command my defenders move to line up on (i.e. move horizontally to be aligned in front of their man)whomever they are told to. If you don't give them another command they will just stand there after the play starts.

I do give them other commands. The only time I see anyone lining up on an offensive player is when "man 2 man" coverage is assigned in the defender's logic.

Hmmm, maybe what I think is lining up on a player is actually the man 2 man defense. I'll check it out.

Even in lineup on man, and then M2M the defender does nothing.
