Playoff Tie Breakers

Post by lain »

When say 2 teams end the season 9 and 7, and only 1 can get in the playoffs, what are all the tie breaker rules? Like head to head, and division record, and such. What about a 3 team tie?

Your choice. The game prompts you to enter in all the playoff teams.

You setup your play off scenarios

I have not finished a complete season yet so I don't know how it works exactly but from my understanding
you get to pick the teams that go to the playoffs.

Edit
DOH!!!

In the game you can do any thing you want.

Here's how it is done in the NFL.

Not sure about the CFL.

I use a computer ranking system in my high school league. YOu get tier 1 and tier 2 pts. Tier 1 consists of 2 points for every win. Tier 2 is 1/2 of your opponents (from games you won) tier 1 points. You add the two together and the top X teams make the playoffs...
