Lead Block

Anybody get this command to make a lineman do anything?

Do you have to have any other commands to go with it or what?

I must be missing something.[&:]

Sonny i would think this is supposed to be for the running back. Generally, a blocking back will get this assignment when leading the ball carrier through the hole.

i tried to make a play with the HB leading for the FB. But the HB just stood there and let the other back run by him and get lit up. Reminds me of that scene in The Program. Worked better when i used the move to command and then block out.

Sorry, I typed it wrong - I meant back instead of lineman. Don't know what I was thinking.[:o]

I'll try making the blocking back move first then lead block.[8D]

I haven't seen it work either way. Block out seems to work as a good substitute.

i finally got the lead block to work! i wasn't clicking on the second command point when assigning the lead block. So the back wouldn't move because, in the back field, there was no one to block.

When i used the move to command at the first command prompt and lead block true at the second command point the lead blocker did what he was supposed to do.

i am LOVING this running game. O-lineman actually turn lineman to give the running back a crease. TEs and FBs actually block on the second level. i can even design an outside running play!!! Now if they can get the passing game up to snuff we'll REALLY have something.
