When a container unit includes multiple generals, how do you assign the leader you want to command the container?

I don't see this in the Generals rule, 1.6.9 or in container units explanation at pages 15 and 16.

Assuming the game program selects the general with the most stars to command, who commands if you have two generals with the same number of stars.

Is the commander the general who's name appears highest on the list of the container unit contents?

They both do. If two two-star generals are assigned to a corps, then they both are randomly assigned to divisions in that corps in detailed combat. They also both provide their bonus rally attempt to divisions in that corps. There isn't really any "command" slot per se that they take up; there are just the divisions with which they are associated.

Another question might be, what happens if two generals are assigned to a corps with only one division in it? I don't know the answer to that; Eric will have to enlighten us. It may not be possible. I've never tried it.

So the bonuses (initiative, combat, morale) from ALL the leaders of appropriate rank are applied to the units in that army?

e.g. If I have four 3 Star generals leading an army, do their initiative, combat, and morale bonuses all stack up, or just the highest?

I'm referencing Ralegh's thread on generals (Ralegh on Generals), which says:

The strategic rating of generals is applied to their army/corps when moving on the strategic map - it increases the unit's chance of carrying out the movement orders you give it.

The tactical rating of generals improves the combat ability of the units under them, and the morale rating helps the units under them to rally, and to change formation.

By 'under them', a general 4 or 3 star general in an army affects all the divisions in the army, while a 2 star general can affect all the divisions in the same corps. All generals can be allocated in detailed combat to a particular unit, and help that unit in addition to their larger influence.

In some cases (like initiative) it uses the best score of the highest ranking general in a container; in other cases, each general (or general of the pre-requisite rank) contributes to the container.

The initiative answer was very important to have. I assumed the tactical and morale was specific to the unit during detailed combat and/or a factor in quick combat.
