PWHEX help

Post by CobraAus »

Its time to ask for some help
I a trying to get the RHS scenario to run but at the moment is is CTD as it is about to switch from loading to go to graphic screen - the scenario runs fine for author - and my download are up to date - the fault I have pinned down to the PWHEX file
I can run the scenario with any other Pwhex file such as V4 map v5map and v5.1 map and the stock patch v6.00 but one created for it of cause by doning this no new loctions will appear
or incorrect one will
Known reasons for CTD to my knowledge is mainly caused by missing ship graphics when to slect ship and there is no pic for it - but can this cause CTD with out ship selection
in other words as this is a work in progress the auther may have ship graphics installed that I dont have yet
I am just trying to find out which path to go done the fix problem
could the problem be created by the author running say 1.75 beta version of game where as I am running v1.6
last question is there anything in the PWHEX file that cause a CTD

Not this is only Scenario giving grief and its not authors problem its something lacking
in my scenario setup

I have never known the game to crash because of a problem with the pwhex file. I guess the first thing to try, if you haven't already, is to get another copy of the file from the person who can use it without getting a crash?

Try a clean install. Install the new Andrew Brown Extended Map.
Then copy over the pwhex file and the scenario data files (7 of them).
