Image editor for AARs

I am looking for a freeware image editor to create better maps for my AARs. DOes anyone have any recommendations? If I were to spend the $ whats the best one on the market?

you really dont need one. that being said photoshop is tops on the market...me I just use MS Paint. I have seen AARs that used powerpoint also.

One that is almost the same as Photoshop and is free is Paint.net at

I use Photoshop as I already have it but this is very good indeed.

Thanks. I have been using MS paint, but I find it very limited. I will look up paint.net. Any others?

I actualy use snagit from techsmith.com.... but that is not freeware

I also frequent a forum at SuperiorPics, which is dedicated to pictures of female celebrities. (Its clean and aboveboard, don't worry.) As you can imagine, its a good place for information on programs relating to digital pictures and video. Here is a link to their "official" thread listing their suggestions for these kinds of tools: SP Recommended Tools. You should be able to find everything you could possibly need and a good deal more there.
