WFL?

Post by TheKtulu »

Is anyone planning on doing WFL uniforms?

If not, I'm gonna go ahead and do a full set of those, assuming I can find accurate pictures of each one.

What I am doing is including the actual uniforms in my "updated for the 21st century" set. So Each of the teams I do will have at least 3 or maybe 4 uniforms. (think "throwbacks")

I have So. Cal. Sun, Jax. Sharks, Portland Storm & Thunder, and Chicago Wind almost ready for posting. I'll be starting the The Hawaiians next.

I don't think I'm going to do the whole set. Probably stop with Hawaii.

Helmets aren't a problem.. it's the actual uniforms I need to find. I have a pretty good idea on most though.

Well here's the Houston Texans of the WFL. I'm gonna say it's 90% accurate. They *may* have had stripes on the socks instead of the solid colored ones, but it's really hard to find pictures of anything other than the helmet. I'm too lazy to import it into the game for a screenshot, but the numbers are yellow with a white outline.

Yeah I'm using that site for a basis, but I'm still questioning the accuracy on those drawings, cosidering the guy didn't even bother to use block numbers. He also mentions that the league used standardized uniforms - yet those drawings show variations in stripe patterns that tell me they weren't. So, it's a start, but I'd rather have some actual game photos to varify.

And I can always fix the little inaccuracies later, not too hard of a task. The hardest part of the whole league set is going to be matching the San Antonio Wings helmet.

You can do a google image search. I've had so-so luck with that.

If you can do the Wings helmet you will be my hero.[:)] (Also AFL's Albany Firebirds)

Shaggy, are you talking about the AFL Firebirds old Jerseys and Helmets? I think I liked those older versions of there jerseys then the newer ones before they folded in Indiana. couldn't stand that ugly bird they had for the newer jerseys.

I always thought the Fire Jerseys where one of the better designed jerseys of the WFL.
