At Palmyra I have now 415 av sup and in Christmas I. 119 (but afld size still 3 building).
2. USMC is unloading at Palmyra.

In United States base Americal Division has arrived. It's now marching to SF and will be later employed in a landing operation. I have now to decide which will be the target.
Bern overstretched his lines and when KB will leave it will be easier for me to counterattack. No reason to do it now.

DD Hasu, damaged two days ago, sunk today.

CHINA

Two days ago I started strategic bombing of industrial sites in China. Not too much bombers, around 30 operating from Changsha. Today the objective was Shangai, 6 HI hits.

BURMA

I bombarded 21. Mix Bde situated W of Mandalay, causing 153 dead.

Japs unloaded at Pago-Pago with 6500 men and conquered the island at the first shock attack, capturing 2528 men.

Except for Suva, all the S PAc is in jap hands. Sooner or later he will withdraw the fleet, and then I'll start the liberation.

14 B-17 bombed Shangai: 5 HI hits.

Balikpapan garrison resisted at the first shock attack.

5. NLF and 24. NLF bombarded Noumea, defended by the 2. NZ Bde. North of Noumea there is another unit marching S. But I think that the NZ bde should be able to resist until reinforcement will arrive. The 14. NZ Bde is ready at Auckland but I have to wait air cover from the carrier.

It was a boring day. Nothing special happened.
I'm continuing bombing his strategic site in China, in Manila he has 144'000 men against 45'000 but he doesn't attack and his TF bombarded again Noumea. That's all.

SOUTH PAC

Tonight a big surface jap TF, with BB Fuso, Kirishima and Yamashiro, with 2 Ca, bombarded Suva: 1252 casualties reported. [X(]

SW PAC

21 Nell came over PM to bomb: 14 of them damaged and no hits.
In the afternoon 20 Betty came again to bomb 1 AK, while she was unloading. No hit. 2 of 3 Wirraway on CAP are shot down by escort's Zero.

BB Ise with 2 CA bombarded Noumea: 54 casualties

BURMA

From Dacca I sent 71 4E bombers to attack 6. Jap Tank Rgt, that is marching towards XXX: 65 casualties and only 1 AFV destroyed.

TF PoW and Repulse attacked enemy convoys in Sorong. My ships have been attacked by few Zero and Vals from Weda. No damage. Anyway Weda afld is at size 0, so I think that there is a CVL or CVE.
After that came 23 Betty from Mindanao. 4 shot down and 15 damaged, and 1 250 kg bomb hit Repulse, but the bomb exploded on deck armor: no damage.
In the afternoon this TF sunk CS Mizuho at Sorong. [:)]
I want to risk my ships tomorrow. The forecast is rain, so I send the TF to Weda, to see if I find something interesting to sunk.

TF leaded by PoW met 2 PC ans 1 AK East of Weda and sunk them.
In the afternoon my ships have been attacked by jap planes. PoW took 1 torpedo and 1 bomb and Repulse 1 Bomb. Repulse is ok but PoW is at sys 21 and floating 16. Not too bad. She can do 22 kt

BB Ise bombarded Noumea again.
4 Betty shot down and 15 damaged by AA of Port Moresby.


BURMA

I bombed Lashio base with 20 SB-2 escorted by 12 AVG's P-40. Damage to the airport are light. 4 P-40 and 2 SB-2 lost, and I shot down 3 Zero.
