Willie is on the move my troops fall back to Mandalay... well i got a lvl 9 fort there... maybe i can hold there for a while[:)] Dakotas are flying in supply there[:)] Wellingtons from Calcuta and Dacca are bombing Willies Ground Troops... i don't see any Jap planes and this is odd... few days ago i send some Fighters to Mandalay and Akayab and i were able to down 15 Oscars and about 25 Bombers as for now the situation here is good... i could move a cupple of strong Divisions to Burma but i should better watch out that willie will not make any Landings in India...

My B-17 Stage Bombing Runs on PM but with no succes but with no losses Either... both 7th and 5th BG's flying B-17 reached 62 exp[:D][:D] my ground troops are ready to repeal any invasion attempts... well since i got nothing to do i will send some Supply from Karachi to Australia

US and Brit Carrier retreat to PH and SF for Repairs... Good news that Seafires start appear in my pool those will be great addition to my F-4-F. Non Stop Convoys bring more and more Troops and Supply to Suva , Luganville , Numaea , Canton , Palmaya , Johnston and Midway Garrison on those islands are Divisions + RCT forts are 6 at least and Building... let Wille close in... on most of those bases i got 50+ Fighters + 100 Bombers... so it could be costly for him to strike... Operation "Pipe" has benn lunched and calls for intense minning of my basses my Minning TF can set 650 mines in one Run... so 2 runs per base and i can be sure that any landing attempt will be costly...

Sian is under siege of some 400k japanese troops as for now the Brave Chinise Soldiers are Holding firm... but who can tell how long[:(] i wounder where did he took his units from... any way im planining two counter attacks on Willies troops in Central China to force him to thighten the Grip on Sian... elswhere my "annoying bombing" Campaign has been renewed this time Formosa is the Target... during the Last week i blasted at least 10 HI points there... but now im planing to swith the targets to Oil and Resource centers to force Willie to move more Resources from the DEI to here[:)]

Well Willie walked into Mandalay with lvl 9 Fort and it proves a tought nut to crack for him... two shock attacks and no Forts Down...[:D] this could be Painfoul to him... my Dakotas are flying in Supply to Mitkyna as Manadalay is in Range of his Fighters... While RAF Wellingtons and some US B-25 are bombing his troops and gaining exp... i think i could make a suprise for him and move some UK Div down to Mandalay and then to Rangoon but i still think he may land somewhere in India as my UK CV's are on the Pacific
right now....

Well Kopang has been invaded ageain... with the same misrable result... when Hudsons fly in Supply B-17 are bombing his Troops[:D][:D]

Operation "Pipe" is goeing Smothly Midway now has a minefield of over 1100 mines the next target is Johnston and then Palamya[:)] soon i should have an MLE so i can move my minning forces down south to mine Canton , Lugganvile and Numaea[:D] all US ships are now returning to ports for Repairs... and more and more Troops are reinforcing my Defensive positions...

Summary
We just finish first 6 months of the War and i think i should be happy with the results... i sustaind some losses but this is not to bad as Willie has only 3 times more Vp's then me so it will be difficoult for him to get an AutoVictory...[:D] now i started to Recive the Seafire's so my UK cv's will have more defensive capabilitys...[:D]

A Disater Happened[X(][X(] Sian Fell and the dumb Chinise fall back N instead of W[:(][:(][:@][:@] now they are isolated... i will try to move them further SW maybe they will escape this death trap... i was woundering where in the Hell 400 K Jap troops apeared... and guess what i forgot to mention no movment out of Kwantung without reasigning house rule[:@][;)] and now im facing both China Exp force and Kwantung[:-][:-] i think it will end up a disaster but i will try to avoid auto Victory[:@][:@]

Since the disater in India i need to take some action here since Willie got 28 units in Mandalay i wounder how many more are there in Rangoon... so i will move down the road from Akayab and try to capture Rangoon... the bad weather here prevents any missions [:@]

Well Willie is pressing my troops that winthrawn from Sian... i will try to save them i need just few days without any Jap attack... but i do not count on it[:(] well he is bombing my troops but no action is taking place anywhere....

All Quiet on the Ocean[:D] there is a pause in the operations here... i think Willie reached limits of his Conquest here... im still weaiting for the CV's in Pearl to Repair and CV Wasp To Arrive then i think i will try to retake Wake...[:D] Furthermore i will soon start a Sub Campaign ageainst the Jap Shipping it will begin from Midway[:D]

KB showed Up and sunk my Convoy near Numeae Atoll but lucky for me i was able to unload the base force before my ships went down. I delivered some seabees to Baker and now KB is moveing there but im running as fast as i can. in few Days i will recive coupple of MLE's so i will mine bases in the South of Canton. My CV's in Pearl are repairing quickly and one of the Brit CV units recived new Seafire fighters[:D] soon Hornet and Enterprise will swith their Crappy Devastators to Avengers[:D] and within this month CV Wasp will Arrive[:D] any way my goals here are to Build up Baker island Base...[:D] I just found a way to transfer my P-40's to India i winthrew a P-40E's FG to fill out the secound P-40 FG... and then swith those planes to Mohawks and now i have over a 100 P-40's E in the Pool
I also send about 20 subs to mine Tokyo Harbor[:D]

I have a plan to lure the Jap fighters into combat over Mandalay i just noticed i recived a US FG with 75 Exp but flying Mohawks i will upgrade those to P-40s E and i will force willie to Fly a LR Cap over Mandalay i Will move AVG on Mohawks and Brit Mohawks to Mandalay and P-40's + Huricanes and Kittyhawks will fly LR CAP from Kochima and Akayab maybe that will couse some Damage to willies fighter Pilots...[:D] Any way Mandalay is still Holding[:D]

All quiet here exept a convoy beeing hit by two jap DD's leatly. Im building up Baker Base now it is lvl 2 port and airfield but soon more seabees will arrive[:)] I got 4 plans to execut over all of the Pacific and maybe one of them will cost Willie some points... the first two will be Pacific related and the other ones one in the DEI and one in India... as for those on the Pacific... as soon as i will get a base force to Baker and i will fly in some Wildcats and Duntless i will mine Tarawa Base with my Mining force from Canton... then i will send in some Seabees to start building a base... Willi will probably send some DD's to intercept... and with luck they will land in my Mine field.... soon after i will land in Apayama and when those bases will be completed i will start bombing Marshall's with B-24's[:D] the next target here will be nanuru(?) wich wasen't even taken[:D] this will be op. "Watchtower" the secound operation called "Polar Glory" calls for building up bases in Attu and Kiska[:D] and then moveing up the Kuryles Archipelago... i must select wich bases will be taken... so i will be able to start some Strategic Bombing[:D] i recently got large numbers of new plane groups and lots of Base forces and seabees[:D]

India/Burma

Well Mandalay is still holding... and the plan here... operation "Reapper" calls for drawing Jap fighters over Mandalay and inflicting heavy losses to them... first i will stage bombing campaign ageainst Mandalay with my Wellingtons then i willl move AVG and all my fighter assets to Akayab , Kochima and Mandalay ( for Mohawks ) and with some luck mybe there will be a nice large air battle over Mandalay wich will allow me to kill his best pilots[:D][:D] i moveing in some tanks to mandalay to assist my defense there[:)]

And the Boldest of my ops operation "Ghost"[:D] I still hold Kopang on Timor i will move large amount of Supply + aviation Rgt and some AA units in a quick dash to the base and then begin bombing Campaign ageainst Soreboja . Belikapapan and Kendari from Timor it will be tricky as i need to move in quickly and when most of his assets will be elswhere i sure hope 3 other ops will get his attention and force him to move his assets out of the DEI[:D][:D][:D]

Total mess Willie is bombing my Resources so i think it will be good by china in few months and i can't do anything to stop him[:@]

"Polar Glory is moveing right along first transports should reach their Destination shortly[:)] as for now im moveing undetected[:D] as for "Watchtower" i encountered a problem... i moved my TF to mine Tarawa and it happened but when my forces were reatreting they were intercepted by the KB[:@] and ended sunk... but the operation will continue as soon as Baker will be build enugh to accomodate my 4E's[:)] sp my fleet will have some cover... I also mined Tokyo Harbor with my subs in the mean time and Willie probably did not noticed that[:D] elswhere lots of convoys shipping troops and supply around... CV Wasp Arrived soon it will join the fleet in Pearl[:D]

Operation Reapper encountered a problem... mainly the Weather Sucks and i can't do anything right when he flies to Mandalay my fighters are grounded by the weather or vice Versa... on the Ground we reached a stalmate and non of ouer forces will gain the upperhand[:D] so i plan a flanking manover[:D] i fly lots of supply to Mitkyna and Willie can't interdict those[:D]

I havn't messed with squadrons for the most part. (other than to allow some new plane types to be used with PDU's on...example: Hurricane IIc)

Can you list some examples? I'm still building an errata file for the next Mod version.

Operation Ghost scrubed... as Japs landed in Kopang... well Willie did manage to capture the base but he had to use entire Division to do it... now some B-17 from Darwin are making daily bombing of this unit in Kopang but those are bearly Training missions with live ammo[:D] I just send 10 Subs to the Area to hunt for Jap shipping[:)]

Since Ghost is scrubed "Watchtower" and "Polar Glory" will be extended as for "Polar Glory" first units arrived at Kiska and soon i will be able to stage Marine planes there the next target will be Attu... when both bases will be able to accomodate 4E bombers i will move to the Phase two of the extended operation and land on Jap Kuriles... and from there conduct Strategic bombing on the Northern HI...[:D] but first i will have to draw jap forces away so i will be able to do those landings with minimal resistance. As for Watchtower i will land on Tarawa as soon as Hornet will be operational...[:)] so about 30 days... there i will build a lvl4 or Airfield and i will be able to bomb the Marshalls[:D] and move on to Nanuru to flak the Marshalls from the South[:D] as for the events taking place on the pacific im just bombing Mankin from Numaea Atoll with Liberators[:D] and im carrying lots od supply's and such[:D] i just sended a group of about 10 Subs to Japan and i will send another 10 soon to start sinking of jap Transports[:D]

Operation Ripper has begun after another week of Bad weather in wich either od ouer planes flew or Not i was able to Attack Jap Cap over Mandalay. Willies got over 30 Tojo's there... first Wellingtons flew in and i lost like 10 of them but then my ground strike mission consisting of 24 P-40'sE and about 30 Hurricanes came to attack Jap troops it was top Covered by over 50 other P-40E's in the Battle i lost 3 Hurricanes and 5 P-40's from the Ground attack force but shoot down 16 Tojo's[:D] and in about two months i will convert AVG to Lightnings as its flying Mohawks... I just begun moveing more troops South from Akayab and Imphal and i will try to flank Willies troops besieging Mandalay wich is ageain at Fort Lvl 9[:D]

Things are quiet here becouse of the Bad weather but tommorow operation Reaper will continue... if the weather Permits this time 119 P-40's E and B + 32 Hurricans and 16 Kittyhawks will sweep the skies over Mandalay i hope to meet some oppostion there[:D] last turn a recon flight confirmed that the Japs are Caping the place[:D] i did some Wellington Raids on Different Targets in range and meet no oposition... well my ground troops moveing out of Imphal and soon i will threthen those Jap troop besieging Mandalay... any way i see no way in wich wille could capture Mandalay[:D]

In San Francisco 2 Seabees rgt's , RCT , Base force and Av Rgt boarded their transports and set course for Pearl... there they wil be joined by the CV's of the PacFleet and move on to Baker from where the "Watchtower" secound phase will commence. i fear of Willie's night raiding Bombadments so i will move a bunch of PT boats to Tarawa First... i do not thinki will encounter any opposition but who know's... Willie spotted my "Polar Glory" landings but it was to late to do anthing now im prepering to land on Attu[:D] im doeing dayily night rides on Lunga with my B-17's but they only goal is to gain some exp. the same purpose is bechind B-24's Raids on Mankin[:)]

In reply to an earlier post putting a CVE into an CV heavy TF is a bit gamey for me. Mostly because it requires you to set Escort TF instead of proper Air Ops TF. IMHO the system should penalize somehow attack missions from non air-ops Tfs.

Operation Ripper is making some Progress but i think i will stop it for the next 72 Days... as i have a smart plan how to smash Willie's Airpower in Burma. Erlier in Burma my Fighters from Kochima sweept Mandalay and downed 8 Tojos with no losses... but yesterday they meet some stiff oposioton...
