-The CVL Ryujo group aproaches to Mersing and is soon attacked from Singapore. 6 Swordfish and 8 Blenheim IV, escorted by 21 Buffalos are the first wave. No hits and 1 Swordfish and two Buffalos are shot down.
-3 Martin 139 attack also the CVL Ryujo. The dutch have not more lucky than british.

-The land combats in Naga increase level when 25.000 japanese assault the positions of the 11.000 allied defenders. The attack fail and 500 nips are casualties.

Burma/Malasya theatre

-The Christmas battle: The british leaves Singapore with BB P.of Walles, BC Repulse, CLs Danae, Durban and Mauritius, and DDs Vendetta, Stronghold, Tenedos, Electra, Express and Jupiter to catch the japanese transports near Kuantan. The surprise is achieved and the nipons only have the destroyers Shinonome and Usugumo and some patrol boats to guard the Marus. After a furious fighting the DD Shinonome is hit by 19 shells and 3 torpedoes and sinks. The PG Chosa Maru blown away by 5 shell hits and the PC Ch.9 is de-constructed by another 20 direct hits and also sinks. The british escape with only a hit on the DD Tenedos that cause a little fire. However, the transports, main objective, only receive some hits and no real damage.

-The japanese bombard Malacca with 31 Ki-27, 31 Ki-51 and 13 Ki-21.

-The AK Taian Maru is sunk by the SS S-38.

-Again, the Force Z surprise a japanese amphibious force near Mersing. Night combat. This time, may be because more british night experience, the results are better than ever. The light japanese close escort is sunk; MSW Toshi Maru#8, PC Ishigaki and PC Kunashiri. After, the british sunk three transports and heavy damage another three.
-The british force was retiring to Singapore when clash with another japanese force nearby. Destroyers Tsuga and Kuri and two patrol boats escort five transports. Again a confused night action and the DD Tsuga is sunk by several directs hits from the DD Jupiter. The CL Danae sunk the PG Unkai Maru. And the CL Mauritius and CL Durban clash with the DD Kuri. The japanese destroyer seem to escape but the BB P.of Walles destroy it with your secondary armament.
-The japanese force flies far from Mersing at dawn but is attacked by 20 Vildebeest and 3 Blenheim that sunk the last escort with two torpedoes, the PG Tosho Maru. Another merchant is also torpedoed.

-The japanese bombard Victoria Point with 21 Ki-21. Mersing is also attacked.
-The defenses in Johore Bahru are attacked by 45 G4M1. 142 allied casualties.

-A allied surface force from Balikpapan attack at night the Tarakan beachead. The CL Boise and Marblehead and some Flush deckers catch a japanese transport and sunk her. The sinking of the AP Seattle Maru is a real disaster and cost 2.936 casualties to japs. [X(]
But the KB show your ships suddenly near Brunei and launch a strike against this force next morning with great succees.
55 A6M2, 48 D3A and 59 B5N sunk the CL Marblehead (5 torpedoes) and CL Boise (another five). The destroyers Parrott and Stewart are heavy damaged by bombs and torpedoes. Some Bettys based at Jolo island also attack the group in the afternoon complete the disaster. The Parrott finally sinks. Before the night falls the DDs Paul Jones, Scout and Barker are also sunk.

-The japanese capture Kuching. 553 jap casualties and 1.603 allied.

-The 4th and 48th Jap Inf Divisions attack Clark Field with 50.000 troops. The allied resist and the japanese lost 1.266 casualties. 835 are the allied. At Naga the japanese are also defeated and lost 616 men.

Burma/Malasya theatre

-Some Martin 139 attack the japanese ships around Mersing without succees.
-However, the Vildebeest from Singapore cause heavy damage on AK Taisei Maru and torpedoed the AP Kogi Maru and the AP Arabia Maru.
