Ground attack vs. Interdict

Post by Harri_L »

What are the penalties when using interdiction instead of ground attack? I almost always put my whole air force to interdict enemy units, and it seems I get normal bomber support in the combat phase.

What about Escort vs. CAP? Sometimes when I anticipate my opponent will be trying big air operations, I put some of my fighters to CAP. Unfortunately, I don't see any better results...

Setting your bombers to (I)nterdict or (G)round attack doesn't make any difference in the executional phase. The only thing is that the more you use your airplanes, the more will become "unready" to take part in the battle.

On the other hand, if you set your fighters to (C)ap, twice as much aircrafts will fly interception missions, but less will escort bombers on ground attack missions.
