p.s I have decided to be quite aggressive in this game (altough I dont really have the forces anymore)

So I am sending in Boise Houston and RN and Dutch DD's to try and hit transports

Andy,

Can you spread the RAF forces out at the air bases on the penisula? If Sneer stays within 3 hexes of Sing, that would put him in range of a lot of RAF fighters and bombers. Plus, if any longer range planes can move up to Borneo or Palembang area, it seems like a lot of planes could be launched. Losses would be heavy, but with the Nikmod effects in this game, I'm sure there would be a few leakers, and a couple hits on some IJN carriers this early would have to be a big help in allowing the US to run rampant in the south pacific.
I haven't played on the Allied side, but seems to me, you should be able to take advantage if Sneer hang around.

Im going to try I have released a lot of Dutch Fighters and have moved in the AVG (1sqn to Singapore) but the P40's from PI cannot reach Malaya nor can 2/3 of the AVG.

So for this next turn I am trying to regain airsuperiority only and have sent my TB's to transport killing.

If the airfields are open tomrrow I will try to hit his carriers

You should be alright there at least.. look for aerial reinforcements coming thru the middle east soon as well.

Not sure I need to take the pressure off of RN so something crazy probably.

I loaded 16,000 combat troops onto 50 ships of the US Pacific Fleet and set sail I need to land somewhere.

I am very worried about the supply level in Singapore after 1 day's fighting I am down to 40k supplies.

Alikchi,
Can the British forces and other Western Pacific forces be added to the "Vary Setup" option that could be used?? I have used it in one non-historical PBEM and was saved by my opponent choosing to place KB off of Manila vs Pearl (Both CV's were off of Hawaii - Infield)

If this is possible, it would add more to the "fog of war."

I think its hardcoded. I dont mind the fleet getting hit but Surprise should and must be OFF and I think we need to disperse the RN a little more

Aye but they are all 99% sys now and I dont have the repair facilities to get them repaired.

In fact if Winston asks for one back they are so damaged I cannot even return them so that will cost me a decent BB or 2000 PP's.

I am concerned about Singapores Supply level with only 40k supplies left I NEED to fight a convoy through.

OK here is the plan.

My Battle line is infinitely stonger than his I will be short of screening units but in 90 days I can muster 11 Capital Ships (assuming he doesnt hit my 5 x SRA BC's)

How about 2 monster TF's in Singapore with 500 Aircraft including Swordfish etc at the base. If I can get 200k + supplies into the port then its going to be a looooong bloody fight to take the base. Its taking Fortres Singapore to a nasty level but with 7 Division equivalents and possible more to follow if I reinforce as long as I can keep Air Superiority and get my forts up to 9 he is going to struggle to take it......

I am pulling back in Malaya he is ashore and I am in danger of getting cut off.

All airpower is being focussed on Singapore.

I have about 100 Fighters there now

IJN has a LOT of light surface TF's out there and they are better than stock those new CL DD leasers are especially nasty.

I am trying to get ships up the Malacca straight but it isnt working

I am in full retreat in Malaya.

If I forward deploy all my supplies will get sucked out of Singapore so I am falling back I will try to stand at Johore for as long as I have Air Superiority.

OK a few turns pass I had to try and evac all non damaged RN ships up the Malacca straight the casualties were.....heavy AK's, PG's everything went a lot got out but a lot didnt make it.

PI I managed to get 2 Divs cut off in the north but I managed to get the rest of the PI army into Manila where forts are rising and supplies are adequate those 2 Divs being lost may prejudice my defence.

Sneer has withdrawn KB so I am going to try and get POW out its the least damaged of my Battleships and can make 8 knots.

2 Sqns of the AVG are on LR CAP so lets see what happens.

I am keeping Repulse and the other BC's out of the way.

I am withdrawing towards Johore and will try to stand at that city for a while. As long as I have air superiorty over Singapoe Johore can be held.

In the south after NZ 's raid I had to withdraw from lack of fuel my fleet was running on fumes.

I seriously considered an early invasion but instead I am using the forces to secure places like Canton and Suva

Ouch!!
Looking at these Combat results, it seems that the Allied Navy is mostly for target practice.

When I do get into this game, after some more playtesting is done, I sure to be prepared to have lots of sunk/damged ships as the Allies.
Can you post a ship loss and damage report soon??
