Getting tired of a certain poster here?

Post by redwolf1 »

Just a little FYI:

Sorry guys but I, probably like many of you, am getting sick and tired of reading a certain poster's comments and spam on this board that do nothing to contribute to the game - a person who often belittles other's thoughts, and continues to ignore warnings by moderators.

I noticed that if you click on the little dot at the bottom of a given post, you are given the option of blocking/ignoring that member's post and future posts. That may be a viable option to some. Not sure how well it works, but if it does pretty soon that annoying member may be talking to himself. [;)][:D]

There's also the Report link on the bottom right - although for some reason it doesn't let you type "spam" as a reason. I changed it to "flooding the forums" and that worked.

Somebody else (maybe even you, I've forgotten who it was, and I haven't been able to find that post again) pointed out that little dot a while ago. Ever since I saw that post, I have been blissfully ignoring that certain poster's comments. Thanks to whomever pointed it out.

Thanks for the heads-up. I just hope that this "Block this guy" selection is kept in my Login Settings, and isn't a cookie based option, as I regularily clean out my cookies and history for security reasons.

But it is refreshing to see certain posters no longer fouling the atmosphere of the forums. At least on my PC.

I have learned that as long as you log in the blocked person remains blocked, but if you just browse without logging in he is not blocked[&:]

Sure, cause the forum software only knows "it is you" when you are logged in [;)]

Sorry for asking so many questions about blocking the person on this form, but I did click on it and when I re-log into MF forms, I don't see any change from blocking the ppl I want. How do I know its been block? Any indication or coloured code listed so that I can spot it?

Thanks

If you press the little green button, it should turn red and the text of the blocked message is hidden. I temporarily blocked your posts, and the result is attached.
