DEI theatre

-A very lot of japanese troops landing on Singkawang. 579 casualties.
-The dutch high command think is a good oportunity to catch the nipons and send a surface group to Singkawang with the light cruisers Tromp, De Ruyter and Java and 11 destroyers. Near objective, the allies spotted three japanese transports.
After a brief night combat all are sunk. The AP Nissen Maru was hit 31 times and the AP Fukko Maru 52 times. The AP Teiun Maru was torpedoed. The DD Kortenaer was hit by a lucky fire from the japanese and heavy damaged.
A few minutes after, the dutch spotted another transport group, this time escorted by one PC, three gunboats and a MSW. The dutch started fire at 4.000 yards. The DD Bankhert torpedoes and sinks the AP Koei Maru. CL De Ruyter and DD Van Ghent engage the AP Sakido Maru and left heavy damaged and on fire. The CL Java sunk the PC Shimushu and heavy damaged the PG Shinko Maru. Only another transport is damaged before both forces break off. However, the CL De Ruyter pay a heavy cost and is hit 10 times, some shells are 5.9 in from japanese PGs and initiate some fires.

-A Pirric victory, this afternoon the japanese capture Singkawang.

-The japanese begin operations against Palembang. 52 casualties.

-Singapore is attacked by 15 Ki-51 that destroy many allied planes on land. The allied troops are attacked by 46 G4M1. The allies lost 165 men.
