Looks a bit like a Aero A-300, a czech medium bomber from before WW2. The cockpit doesn't look quite right though

It's French - an Amiot 351 or possibly a 354.

You're right it is the Amiot 351 No. 01. Picture was taken at the end of 1938. The 354 has a single tail fin, so it isn't it...

Did the popularity of these type of posts decline over the last couple of months?

Well, I've been busy, but that sleek design challenged me to track it down.

I had been kinda discouraged by people who seemed to find the answers so quickly. It was the fact that this one sat around for awhile that got me into the hunt.

I do miss seeing frequent postings here though!
