We'll see Curty, we'll see. Would have preferred to have that 2nd goal. It's going to be a tough 2nd leg

So to sum it up quickly.
1. Artur's 'knights' -in reality heavy cavalry with lances- were sarmatians recruited in Pannonia.
2. The legend of Excalibur comes also probably with them since it was not a custom (before or after) to stick a sword into the ground marking the place of the funeral celebration (not the tomb itself) except between 2nd and 10th century AD in the steppes.

O yes, now that you telling me, i can recall i watched this film.. it was quite a good, isn't it?

Yep, although they've sacrfied some credibility for visuality e.g the armor Artur wears at the end (the pruple one) is a legionary centurion's from 2nd century AD, but I liked the different approach.

Shame on you "Nik"... it is thorougly historic movie that rightfully shows how and why the WWII was won against Germany and similar to movie we won't name that showed why Japanese were beaten... [8D]

P.S.
Joking aside we here are such small small small small minority - most poeple anywhere in the world simply doesn't have a clue of most important WWII facts (if they even know what WWII was)... I don't even want to mention WWI or Napolenic wars... sad... sad... sad... [:(]

You start running up against the opinion that that is ancient history, and has no bearing on an individual persons current everyday life.

It's already a serious problem, but let's keep the politics out. Ignore Pasty-Neckski... He's just bitter that the rest of the world doesn't think like him...
WTF is it with you people? I make a simple little remark in jest to a great post by a great poster, and I have to put up with this?

Greetings everyone:

I was SO distressed to get so far along in this thread, only to learn it had SO LITTLE to do with a 1.8 patch for WiTP.

So, have a bit of compassion for us wannabe WiTPers. Is a new 1.8 patch out now, and is there some opinion as to how it's working?

Gratefully,

Odox

Very good point - it may be about time to start migrating back to the subject of the thread.

Ah, do we have to?[:D]

Erhem, yes, 1.8 is out, and so far it seems to be working great. The jury's still out as to whether it's solved all the outstanding problems, but that's to a large extent because it was only released a few days ago. I'm definitely leaning to the positive side, though...

After two years you suddenly want us to stay on topic? [X(] I'm not even sure we know how to do that anymore.

if the last few pages of slightly amusing dribble have shown -the patch has been a very good one -no one has got much to complain about now!

I don't think it fixed ALL of the outstanding problems....maybe just the big ones.

Was curious...has anyone noted if any leaders gone *poof* yet in 1.8 to be replaced by some faceless warrant officer or a turncoat from the other side? [:)]
