Historic NFL question

Post by TheKtulu »

I was just wondering.. now that we have pretty much all of the 60's uniforms covered, are there any requests for any other historic uniforms? Any major looks that we just *have* to have?

I will say that regardless of any replies to this, I'm planning on doing at least one version of the Jets with green helmets, and the mid-80's Giants. Other than that, I dont really have any specific teams in mind at the moment.

I have always wanted to see the Dan Fouts era Chargers uniforms with the yellow pants and the yellow lightning bolt on the helmet. Madden never really got the colors right.

Others that would be cool to have:
70's Falcons with the red jerseys
80's Broncos
80's Lions
90's Bills
Not sure what year, but the Bills once wore white helmets with the current helmet logo on them.
96 Ravens
Any & all Houston Oilers
Dallas Texans
80's 49ers
Eagles from the Ron Jaworski era
Eagles from the Randall Cunningham era

I might get to some of these down the road, but I'm dealing mostly with the current stuff.

FYI, the white Bills helmet with the charging buffalo was worn from 1974 - 1984.

They supposedly changed it to red because 3 other teams in their division at that time (Dolphins, Colts, and Patriots) also had white helmets. There was a jok at the time that QB Joe Ferguson threw so many interceptions because he couldn't tell the receivers and defensive backs apart.

Not a bad list, I think I'll probably go ahead and do all of those. I'm also going to add the 1970-71 Redskins with the yellow helmet, just because I like that uniform a lot for some reason.

I forgot about that Redskins one. That's a good one.

Hi, I'm a first time poster here, but I have the game and I am working on setting up a league based on NFL in the 1970's. Since this topic is on which throwback teams people want, I would like to make a request. The blue & white Rams, blue & gold Rams, 49ers, Redskins (w/ the Indian on the helmet), Steelers and Chargers (Dan Fouts era) are some the teams I need for the league. I actually created some helmets from the templates I had for Madden 2004. I just had to resize the template and plugged it into Max Football.

BTW - Thanks to those who create the unis on fbmax.com. You guys do a great job.
