Would it be possible to add a CD unit or two for the japanese with an arrival destination at Bataan and delay of 1-2 years for the big campaign scenarios? The logic being that the japs would try to repair and rebuild the forts there.

Perhaps some 240mm howitzers and older 12" and 10" guns could be mounted there?

Should be possible; you can set any base as a reinforcement hex, I think...

That would be quite logical.

Now Japs are very short on CD, but have plenty of useless AA..

How about a mobile CD regiment in Tokyo instead just in case a player chooses to go with an alternate strategy? :) After all, I'd expect IJA to fortify Lingayen or Naga rather than Manila...

Well as I look at the CD guns for the Japanese and read (according to Bywater) their capability to produce these types of guns, I decided to add some CD guns regiments to the OOB for my scenario.

I put in three non-mobile regiments (one each in Bataan, Manila, and Naga) and then 4 mobile regiments as reinforcements.

Looking at the reinforcement schedule the non-mobile are scheduled to arrive at Tokyo even though they have a base of Manila, Bataan, and Naga. I am hoping that once those bases are captured that the arrival base will be the right one. Otherwise Tokyo will be extremely well protected:-)

Something else to consider: arming those regiments with American guns - all non-replenishable for IJA player ;)

Good idea. I think I will make that change at least on the bigger guns in the regiment.
