Game Deadlock

I was just playing a game as Germany, I had complete control of Europe and England and also I had just taken Spanish Morocco in the Spring 1942 turn, then in the Summer 1942 turn the WA comp player moved a fighter into Spanish Morocco, I had five infantry and a militia. Anyway combat never took place and when it got to my turn I coundn't end it but when I would click on the combat button nothing would happen, so I had to end the game, this is only the second time this has happened, I think the release notes for the new patch does say that this should be fixed, I hope so. Oh and I'm playing 1.040 version, I'm still waiting for the new patch to go official.
