Are you going to have fun with OZ!!!

I am interested in how Sleepy Hollow is going to be shown, the shining star of the Commonwealth?

I also want my little creek just south of the You Yangs to be shown, with water in it sometimes.

The work is excellent, to a quality a REAL game should be using. We have put up with the cartoon versions too long.

I am using GE v 3.0.0336 + 4 differant Art packages a special full map panel with 6 layers
I am pulling GE panels as I go and its very slow detailed cut paste merge even down to individual farm lots in a hex to get it fit the map and maintain terran as per PWHEX.dat after 4 full days I am 2/3rds the way though the first panel so after panels 0,1,2,3,4 5,6, which are the biggest for detail it should speed up a bit

First things first. I have GE v 3.0.076. What 4 different Art packages ? And a "special full map panel with 6 layers" ?

Photoshop.Paintshop Pro v9.1,PhotoFiltre (shareware google it),Twisted brush)

the only way to create map panels is to work with a full 6301x5715 full panel about 50meg
tehn you add what layers you are gong to need to with to retain the art you are going to overwrite with new art
1 road-rail-track layer. before starting new art you have to recreate all the newtwork from the original map onto the layer (no cut and past in this exersize you have draw it all by hand
2 nation borders layer
3 all the names that appear on the map (which by the way can switched on and off so once this
is done you can create a full set of map with no names at all)
4 hex layer (transparent)
5 all goolge downloads as JPEG so you have convert those PNG tpe files with a hex overlay
so you can cut the hex you want for pasting back into the section of map you are working on

Sounds daunting - its certainly is - you need to be retired with plenty of time to even contemplate - I ahve no idea how long Andrew must have worked on his orginal map - work and have a young family at the same time that take dedication to an ideal and a end result

ps I could certainly use Goffers to help find art that I may not be able to find
case in point is the Madives Islands Goolge Earth tried it even down to ground level
no detail - need to find another source for this group of islands and there will be others

for any out there willing to give map panel 000 + hex (its completed for testing out) a tryout I have just sent to both Rouges and Spookies should not be too long before Posting
its suitable for both CHS and RHS extended play

let know if you think the effort is worth it - nothing ventured nothing gained

1 third through panel 001

If a full set of these were available, I would use them in a second release of the RHS map. This is a very nice way to make it feel like you are thinking about this area.

You're doing some cool work as usual, Cobra. I just have one teeny little question: since the satellite imagery is new, shouldn't you take into consideration the fact that cities and towns might in some cases be vastly different in size from what they were during WWII? The terrain might have changed too...
