Fremen's Shipyard

Post by 33Vyper »

Hello,

I have been trying for the last few days to access Fremen's website. I keep getting unable to locate server messages. Is anyone else having this problem?

Thought I might go check out his latest and greatest.

Cheers !

Excelent work ! How can i know which file goes where ? For example ML Okinoshima which file to replace in witp game folder ?

The following instructions will be useful to you:

1- Download the zip desired from my page: http://www.telefonica.net/web2/witp/en
2- Unzip the file in a temporal folder.
3- You must see between four and six files there.
e.g. If you have download the ML Okinoshima ship you must see some like this:
-JnShil0087.bmp
-JnSide0087 Ver1.bmp
-JnSide0087 Ver2.bmp
-ML Okinoshima blank type.bmp

4-The "ML Okinoshima blank type.bmp" file or whatever file had a "blank type" is only for modders that wish use a different background with my ship.

5-The JnShil0087.bmp or whatever file had the word "Shil" on it MUST BE put in the game folder named "JapShipShills_transp". This folder was usually under C:\Program Files\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific\ART\
Please remember that this file Replace the older. If you wish no erase the older file make a copy or change your name. E.G. rename "JnShil0087.bmp" like "JnShil0087.bak".

6-The four files with the word "side" on name are different backgrounds versions. The game only use ONE of that. Pick your favorite and rename the file delete the "VerX". E.g. Rename the "JnSide0087 Ver1.bmp" like "JnSide0087.bmp". Then, put the file in the game folder named "JapShip_Back". This folder was usually under C:\Program Files\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific\ART\
Please remember that this file Replace the older. If you wish no erase the older file make a copy or change your name. E.G. rename "JnSide0087.bmp" like "JnSide0087.bak".

7-That's all.

FREMEN.

I too have been unable to access your site for several days. I could and frequently did access it in the past. Just tried again and timed out.

Is there some usage limit?

or perhaps a blockage or limit for "foreign" access??

Very peculiar; I've been on today, to pick up a Tribal side, and did so with no problems...

If this is the problem is the first time i notice. I don't know if my page have "usage limit", is a "free" host page that Telefonica (the owner of the line) supplies to me. The only true is NO BLOCKAGE TO FOREIGN ACCESS. I have receive last weeks many e-mail from people (from USA mainly) that downloaded my material without problems.[&:]
The Telefonica servers have sometimes shot down problems, may be this is the case

Anyway Don, if you cannot access i can send you by PM/email the ship you want.

This may be some sort of DNS problem. Juan, can you post (or send me) the actual IP address??

Fantastic artwork! Any chance of having an option of getting them all bundled into one download, with one version? That way the lazy amongst us (me!) could get them all in one go and just unzip them all into the game.

Traceroute is showing firewall blockage. That's as far as I can go.
