WTF? It looks like the ship has had its spine bent 45 degrees in one direction and 30 degrees buckling in the center![X(][X(][X(]

Looked up the ship and it was decommissioned in 1946 but not scrapped until 1960 - no mention of severe damage from storm at first glance...

Hermes wasn't a true carrier....she was a British version of a flat roofed car ferry.

As was my ickle poor excuse for a CVL.......you'll be the first to lose a real carrier. Infact Yorktown is lucky she isn't home to sharks already..............

The angle in the photo is a bit misleading. there is a second carrier just behind Lunga Point.

Wooden flight decks, merchantile build quiality......

What you want is a nice rigid armoured flight deck [;)]
