I have concentrated as the British on getting really good troops. My Guards (of which I have 3) are around Morale 9.7 in battle (Empire bonus, Happiness bonus). My guns are around 8.0 or so when first recruited. Problem is, not enough of them.

I just tried to defend Egypt against Turkey with a full army of them, 1 Battery, 2 Cav, 5 Infantry, against an entire Army with 3 Corps (250,000 troops or something). The battle lasted 3 days. 2 Days with mainly cavalry charges and limited infantry incursion, then he got my supply. Day 3, the infantry circled and eventually came in all around, hitting my weak spots and taking the line down. It was ugly, men running and dying every which way, commanders dying and surrendering. Britain will give up the mideast to the rightful owners
(Pity, I like the cotton sheets).

Incidentally, my Household Cav surrendered previously, then I got them back, sans horses. Is there ever a way to make them cavalry again?
