Q-ship usage

Hi,
what is best tactic for Q-ships ?
How they should be used for best result ?

I'm running them as 1 ship TF with supplies to bases where enemy subs was spotted
No luck yet, no attack on submarine

We playing with Sub doctrines ON

Sub tactics on - Q-ships will be ignored by subs.

Q-ships are essentially 2nd line destroyers.

Bunch them up in stacks of 8-10 and use them for ASW or even frontline combat.
