Can't Manage game [Resolved]

I just downloaded the 2007 version. I started with the 1946 season. When I go to manage a game, the field goes entirely blue and it freezes. Any suggestions to fix?

How did you get the teams to start the league? Did you get a schedule to play out the season? Do you intend to manage a specific team?

At the startup I chose career league starting in 1946. The program imported the players. It drafted them to the correct teams. I chose the Boston Red Sox. It said a real schedule for that year was available and did I want to use it. I answered "yes". Everything works fine except when I go to manage. The entire screen colors blue and the sound stops. It freezes. I played a bunch of Puresim 2005 and never had this happen. I'm trying to play the game on my new laptop. I don't think that should be a problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I wish you luck BobC4. If I could help you, I would. As you can tell from my questions, I never played the game before, but I am hoping you can get started and let us know how it is. I want to do something similar to yourself. I want to manage the real players from a league...like the 86 Mets. But I wanted to have some competition. I am hoping I can place them in a league with other great teams to see how they would fare in an entire season. I dont know yet if I would be able to do that. Good luck BobC4.

I'm not sure what the problem might be here, but hopefully Shaun will be able to chime in here. My first recommendations would be to try an uninstall/reinstall to make sure nothing went wrong in that process, then post a DxDiag file for us using the instructions at the top of this forum.

Are you running the IE7 beta? If so, that will cause this problem. Otherwise, I'd make sure you have DirectX installed, and then re-boot and re-install.

Yes I do have IE7 installed. I will reinstall IE6.
